My Nativity Play
Today was my 1st Nativity Play, mummy and daddy came to see me. We did the 'X-mas Factor' and I was a king, I had to sing Jingle Bells and do a little dance and jingle my bells. I had a lovely time and mummy and daddy smiled all the way through.
Mummy took some photos of me looking really smart in the costume that daddy made for me.
I have to do it again tomorrow and nanny and Dave are coming to see me !!

Gineau Pig Rhys
Well I went off to the hospital to help the new doctors to do their exams. It was really good, there were lots of children there, but I think I was the only 'Heart Child'. I had to lie on the bed and they had to guess what was wrong with me...... mummy thought it was going to be scary but it wasn't. The examiner told mummy that they would not guess exactly what was wrong cuz my 'condition' is quite rare.
Some of them guessed things that it could be and some of them guessed things it most definately was not!!! But overall mummy and me were happy. I got a Gift Card for being a super patient, so I can buy something nice at the weekend.
I think I would do it again,,,mummy said it was very interesting :)

Off for my tests :)
I am off to the hospital today for some tests,,,,the new doctors are going to be listening to my heart to see if they can guess what is wrong with it..... will update later xxx bye for now

My Special Grandma
Mummy says my grandma is VERY VERY SPECIAL cuz she saved a lady's life!! Pretty brave hey!!
Tonite Grandma is having tea with a lady off the telly,,,,and some nice new clothes and getting her hair done,,, all the girlie things my mummy loves to do!! AND Grandma is going to be in a magazine,,,I don't think it's CBEEBIES magazine tho, so I might not see it !!
Mummy spoke to Grandma tonight and she said she sounded like she might pop,,,, I hope she doesn't ..... I like her as she is.

November 5th
It was so cold tonite we didn't go out to a Bonfire Party, mum said we didn't need to because there were so many fireworks going off all around our house!! My dog was a bit scared he kept barking, but I loved it!!
Mummy and Daddy got some sparklers for me, I had my pyjamas on so I quickly put my fleece on and my trainers and went into the garden,,,mum was right it was FREEZING!!
Mummy took some fotos of me with the sparklers, I look funny with my PJ's on !!
I think my daddy likes sparklers too,,,, what do you think??

Dear Lord,
Every single evening, As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer Keeps running through my head:
God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.
And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.
Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.
You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.
I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.
By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us

Mummy has never taken my out for Halloween before cuz it's soooo cold, but we went out this year, just to nannys and a few of the neighbours,,,it was BRILL !!! Ohhhhh and daddy painted the pumpkin red....don't you think it's the best pumpkin EVER!!!! xx

Help for student doctors
Mummy spoke to the hospital today and I am going to go in for an afternoon only to help the students with their exam ....... ohhhhh so excited....... and I am getting a car to pick me up and drop me home afterwards....Mummy says it's a taxi,,,, but I prefer the word 'CAR'......

Last time I was in hospital a nice doctor asked mummy and daddy if I would like to help the student doctors to learn more about 'special heart children'. We all said YES!!!
Today daddy got a phonecall asking us to go into the hospital in November so that the student doctors can have a look at my special heart to learn more about it.
I am soooo excited, mummy said I am a VERY SPECIAL little boy for the doctors to choose me to do this very important job!!
I will let you all know how it goes :)

Dentist visit
OHHHHH I went to the dentist today,,, I was fine,,,in fact the dentist said my teeth were PERFECT,,,but my poor big brother had to have 2 teeth out,,, and another 2 out on Thursday!!! Mummy explained to me that his mouth is too small for all the teeth he has,,,, strange cuz he makes more noise than me !!! Anyway he has put his teeth under the pillow,,, but he didnt look very happy about it.....big brothers hey !!!! :)

The Chosen One
I had a dream the other night,
It came to me so clear.
I stood before the throne of God,
afraid to come too near.
God said to me “I hear your prayers,
there’s answers you can’t find.
I asked you here to talk to me
and help to ease your mind”
I said “Well yes God, I am disturbed
about my special one.
That punishment is awfully harsh.
Whatever have I done?”
God looked at me and shook his head
and said “You’ve got it wrong.
I sent this special child to you
because you are so strong”
“I searched and searched to try and find
someone with love so rare.
A parent so unselfish they could
give that special care.
I try and save my special gifts
like those your speaking off
or special kinds of parents
I call the chosen ones”
Of all the ones to choose from,
I think this I have done.
A parent who deserves my best,
an honor you have won.
I think my baby is my special one xxx from Rhys's mummy xxx

Clock change,,,whats that all about
Mummy was less than impressed when I dragged her out of bed at 5 o'clock this morning, well I thought it was 6 o'clock time for cbeebies......I don't know what she means about the clocks changing,,,,the clock looks the same to me!!

a bit about me
After I was born mummy took me up to the ward and in the night Daddy was admitted to my hospital!!! SCARY!! But we were both well enough to leave the next morning,, mummy was very pleased,,, and shattered.
At one of my checks a doctor told mummy that I had a 'murmur' mummy didn't know what this meant and was quite scared. After a while the doctors told mummy and daddy that I had Subaortic Stenosis,,,,hmmmm even more scared now, but I looked so well they didn't really worry too much.
I have had scans and checks for the past 4 years and now mummy and daddy have been told that I have to have Open Heart Surgery to make my little heart better. The lovely doctor at Cardif Hospital said he wanted to wait until I was about 12 years old,,,as old as my big brother,,,that's AGES away. BUT,,,, there's always a BUT my mummy says,,, the naughty bit of my heart is not behaving and is getting worse, so mummy and daddy think it may be sooner than that.
I run around like a mad man most of the time but I do get a little breathless at times, sometimes I can't keep up with my friends at school, but mummy says that's ok because I'm special.
I am going for my next scan in January and mummy and daddy will find out how my heart is behaving then.
I go to school now, so I am quite tired at night times, but I've always been an early riser and I don't want mummy to get out of the habit so I get up early every morning just for her!!
